The town is also rich in history and culture, offering a variety of attractions and activities for visitors to enjoy.

A Memorable First Visit

I vividly recall my first visit to Venice Beach in 2011. The clear, warm waters were unlike anything I had experienced before. Coming from a landlocked region, I was amazed at how inviting the Gulf waters were, even late in the afternoon. I couldn’t resist diving in with just my regular shorts—it was that tempting. That visit marked the beginning of a love affair with Florida that eventually led us to make this state our permanent home.

Convenient Location for Travelers

The city of Venice is located near I-75, one of two major interstates running through the Florida peninsula. While I-95 serves the East Coast and brings travelers into Miami, I-75 covers the West Coast, connecting Tampa, Sarasota, and the charming city of Venice.
Getting to Venice Beach is straightforward, with multiple airport options nearby. For convenient access, you can fly into Sarasota Bradenton International Airport or Fort Myers Airport. Additionally, Punta Gorda hosts a regional airport that serves travelers looking to reach this beautiful coastal area.

Easy Beach Access Without the Mess

Venice Beach is one of those rare public beaches where you can enjoy a day in the sun without worrying about bringing the sand back into your vehicle. For those who dread the inevitable post-beach cleanup, this spot is ideal.

Discovering Downtown Venice

Only a mile from the beach lies the newly remodeled downtown Venice. In 2023, the city underwent a significant transformation, updating its historic core. The downtown area is now a lively hub of shops, restaurants, and cafes, perfect for a stroll after a day at the beach.
A Slice of Europe in Florida
Venice’s distinct atmosphere, with its architectural style and community-centered layout, resembles European villages. Whether you’re visiting for the day or considering a more extended stay, Venice Beach and its surrounding areas offer a refreshing blend of relaxation and culture that’s hard to find elsewhere.
